Office Space, How to Stay in Your Office Space When the Sun is Shining |
 |
It never fails when the sun starts shining and the days become warmer a side of us wants to break free and run. This is a wonderful feeling to have. However, when there is work to do it can become depressing. There are some little things that can keep you in the home office space when the sun is shining and you want to escape.
Pulling back the curtains and opening a window will allow the fresh air to come into your office space. This can do two things. First, it can air out the office space after months of winter coldness. The open window can make you feel more like being outside. The fresh smells and cool breeze can help to clear the mind as you get through your work. If you have to rearrange a little to enjoy the sunshine and the view of the window then do so. The home office space should be bright and cheery when the summer comes so you can stay inside to do your work.
Bringing the flowers to you can also help keep you in your office space. Bright, colorful flowers always bring a smile to someone's face. You can not help but stop for a second and see their beauty. By bringing a fresh flower arrangement into the office space brightens up the area and can also help to brighten your day.
It is nice to have some soft music playing while you are working. You can change things up a bit in the office space by playing a recording of the sea shore or other nature CD. Hearing the sounds of nature in the home office space makes it seem that much closer. You may not be so tempted to run away from your obligations. You can find music enhanced with woodland sounds. There are even entire CD's made of birds singing in the morning.
The more fresh and bright your home office space is the more you can enjoy the day. The smells of summer can be so tempting. The fresh cut grass and the smell right after a rain shower can make you want to toss the pile of work in the home office space and just go for a nice walk. It is difficult to stay put and do the tasks at hand. By adding some fresh scented candles, you can bring some of those same scents into the office space.
It is hard to be disciplined enough to stay on task when the weather does break. By taking some of the suggestions above and incorporating them into your home office space, you may be able to avoid the rush of adrenalin when you hear the first lawn mower or smell the first barbecue grill fire up. If all else fails you can set up a time schedule which allows you to work in the home office space in the evenings and enjoy the days with your family and friends. As long as you do not lose focus on the tasks waiting for you in the office space, you can still enjoy your summer. |
