Office Space, Calm, Soothing Sounds Can Help Lower Stress in Your Office Space |
 |
Working in any office space can be stressful at times. And, depending upon your job, it could be hectic and nerve-racking a lot of the time. But, rather than letting this pressure and tension raise your blood pressure or give you a headache, perhaps you should try introducing some tranquility into your office space.
Maybe it sounds a little odd to you, but it has been proven that soft, soothing sounds can help to relax a person and to bring his stress level down. So, why not give one of these options a try for your office space-after all, you have nothing to lose by at least taking a shot at it, right?
One thing you could try getting is a noise reduction machine for your office space. There are several models of these that are sold. You can find them online or in brick-and-mortar stores. Depending upon the model that you purchase, your machine will likely have a variety of sound choices. Most have white noise, which is similar to the sound a television makes when it is not on any channel at all. Some machines also offer rainforest sounds, storm sounds, the sound of a heartbeat, the sound of ocean waves, the sound of a mountain stream gurgling, and more. Try all of the sounds on your machine to find the one you like best. When you find your stress level rising in your office space, turn on the machine and let the sound play in the background.
If you don't like the idea of a noise machine to soothe your stress in your office space, perhaps you could try a desktop fountain. These, too, are sold both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. Most of these have rocks that you can arrange to your liking along with a mechanism that allows the fountain to pour water over the rocks. The water is recycled through the base of the fountain to be pumped up over the rocks again. These fountains are quite nice to watch and to listen to in an office space.
Another option is to purchase music that is stress-reducing. African chants are especially good for this purpose because they are repetitive, yet also interesting and unusual. You can look for CD's of African chant music in any store that sells music CD's, either online or offline. Or, you could check your favorite music download site (one of the legal ones, please) to see about downloading some of this music.
Alternatively, if you are not a fan of African chant music for your office space, perhaps you could try out the music of the Benedictine monks. This is also quite good at relieving tension. It is available just as the African chant music-online or offline, or on the music download sites.
Introducing calming and relaxing sounds to your office space may be something new to you. But give it a try-it definitely works to help keep your office's stress level a whole lot lower. |
